The scam post claims to offer free chocolate hampers from Cadbury in exchange for bank details and addresses. The Cadbury World Scam message is from Anna Burton, and she claims to be the regional manager at Cadbury World. 

The scam message reads that Cadbury is celebrating its 126th Anniversary, and Cadbury World will send Cadbury Hamper to all who share the post and comment. It also comprises a link that redirects to a scam website where users must provide their address, personal details, and bank details. Only one person is allowed to follow the link at a time. 

The Truth of Cadbury World Scam

Cadbury World’s post on social media is not legit. Many pointers make it a scam. 

  • Cadbury World is the visitor attraction located in Birmingham and not a company to offer free chocolate hampers. Plus, it was commenced on 14th August 1990 and hence is only 30 years old. The original Cadbury confectionery company was commenced in 1824, at least 197 years ago. So, in both cases, there is no match for the 126th Anniversary. So, don’t get attracted to the Cadbury World Scam message.      
  • Cadbury World is owned and operated by Cadbury Birmingham, and it has no regional manager. So, Anna Burton, who claims that she is the regional manager, is a real scam. 
  • The link redirects to some suspicious website, and it has nothing to do with the official website of Cadbury.
